Privacy Policy

Summary

TopTypingTest.com does not collect personal data. We do not require an account to use any feature on this site. Your test results, personal bests, and theme preferences are stored in your own browser and never transmitted to our servers.

Data Stored Locally in Your Browser

The following data is stored using your browser's localStorage. It exists only on your device and is never sent to us:

• Your colour theme preference (light or dark mode)
• Your personal best scores for each test type
• Your recent test results (up to 50 per test type, stored locally for your own reference)

You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser's local storage, or by clearing site data in your browser settings.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage - which pages are visited, how long people spend on them, and which countries visitors come from. This helps us understand which content is useful and where to focus development effort.

Google Analytics collects anonymous usage data including your approximate location (country or region level), browser type, device type, and pages visited. It does not collect your name, email address, or any data you type into the tests. Google's privacy policy governs how this data is handled: policies.google.com/privacy.

If you have a browser extension such as uBlock Origin or a similar content blocker installed, analytics requests may already be blocked - we have no way to override this and make no attempt to do so.

Advertising

We display advertisements via Google AdSense. AdSense may use cookies to show relevant advertisements based on your browsing history. Google's advertising policies govern this behaviour.

You can opt out of personalised advertising through Google's Ad Settings, or through the Your Online Choices platform if you are in the UK or EU.

Cookies

We do not set first-party cookies for tracking purposes. Cookies used on this site are set by third-party services (Google Analytics, Google AdSense) as described above. You can manage cookie preferences in your browser settings.

Your Rights

Because we do not collect personal data ourselves, there is no personal data we hold that is subject to deletion or access requests. Your locally stored test history exists only in your browser and can be deleted by you at any time.

For data held by Google (Analytics or AdSense), you can submit requests directly to Google through their data management tools at myaccount.google.com.

Changes to This Policy

If we add features that change how data is handled (for example, optional user accounts), we will update this policy and note the date at the top of this page. We will not introduce data collection without updating this document.
