What is AZERTY?
AZERTY is the standard keyboard layout used in France and some other French-speaking countries. It differs from QWERTY in several key positions: A and Q are swapped, Z and W are swapped, and M moves to the right of L.
If you regularly switch between a French keyboard and an English one, targeted practice with French word patterns helps your fingers adapt to the different key positions without looking down.
Key AZERTY Differences
A / Q Top-left key is A (not Q)
Z / W Z and W are transposed
M M moves right of L
Numbers Numbers require Shift by default
